This supplement causes the body temperature to drop, which is necessary to fall asleep. It may also suppress the luteinizing hormone (LH). High levels of LH are linked to hot flashes. Take 1.5 mg. or less, 30 minutes before bed. Don’t take any longer than two weeks without consulting with your doctor. I did a 2 week melatonin tour and noticed my sleeping habits improved for a short time. My doctor said that she had airline pilots who had been on them for years, but check with your doctor anyway!
