Oxytocin

Oxytocin is released in women during labour and breastfeeding. It is also released in both sexes when nurturing children, cuddling, making love and in orgasm. In relationships, once dopamine triggers excitement, oxytocin triggers warmth and attachment. It also increases trust and deepens long term commitment.
